The Watts Bar Utility District (WBUD), a public community water system, provides water for about 14,046 residents living in the area of Kingston, Tennessee. Established in 1986, the Watts Bar Utility District Water System is currently obtaining its supply via purchase from a blend of surface water sources: First Utility District of Knox County drawing from Ft. Loudoun Lake of the Tennessee River; and Lenoir City Utility Board withdrawing from the Watts Bar Embayment on the Tennessee River, and the Allen Fine Spring.
