The Avra Water Co-op, Inc. provides water services to about 8,272 residents living in the Tucson area of Pima County, Arizona. Avra Water collects water from deep wells pumping from Avra Valley Aquifer, created from mountain runoff and stormwater penetrating the ground. The water is pumped from the wells into six reservoirs and disinfected with chlorine to kill micro-organisms before distribution.
