The City of Clermont East Water System, under the City Environmental Services Department, provides water for about 36,603 residents living in the area of Clermont, Florida. Established in 1884, the City of Clermont East Water System currently obtains its supply from a groundwater source, eight wells throughout the City that draws from the Floridan Aquifer.
