The City of Hastings Water is a Municipal Water System that supplies water to about 7,350 residents in the Hastings area of Barry County, Michigan. The Water System operates three wells, an iron removal Water Treatment Plant, a booster pumping station, two elevated tanks, one ground storage tank, and a distribution system of about 53 miles of water mains. The City of Hastings collects water from three groundwater wells, each about 290 feet deep, drilled in the freshwater Marshall Sandstone Aquifer.
