The Gulf Breeze Regional Water System, previously known as the South Santa Rosa Utility System, provides water to about 17,477 residents living in the Gulf Breeze area of Santa Rosa County, Florida. Founded in 1989, the Gulf Breeze Regional Water System collects water from the Fairpoint Regional Utility System (FRUS) and the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority (ECUA), which originates from ten wells pumping from the Sand and Gravel Aquifer. The water is treated with lime, phosphoric acid, fluoride, and chlorine before distribution.
