The Hazardville Water Company, a privately owned public utility, supplies water to about 18,544 residents living in the Enfield area, Hartford County, Connecticut. Founded in 1892, the Hazardville Water Company collects water from eleven underground wells located throughout the Enfield area. The water from  Avery wells is filtered to remove manganese.
