The Lake Worth Utilities provides water for about 40,000 residents living in the Lake Worth area. Established in 1913, the Lake Worth Utilities collects from groundwater sources: fresh raw water from the East Coast Surficial Aquifer and Biscayne Aquifer, and pumped out of 12 production wells located within the City. The Lake Worth Utilities also collects water from brackish (slightly salty) raw water from Floridan Aquifer wells.
