Founded in 1878, the Parkville Water District System currently obtains its supply from mixed sources: groundwater sources from Elkhorn Well, Canterbury Tunnel Well Redrill, Arkansas Well No. 1, Arkansas Well No. 2, and Arkansas Well No. 3, and surface water intake from Big Evans Reservoir.
