The Martinsville City Water, a public community water and wastewater system under the City Department of Water Resources, provides water for about 13,600 residents living in the area of Martinsville, an independent city in Virginia. Established in 1791, and incorporated as a city in 1929, the Martinsville City Water System is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of surface water sources: Beaver Creek Reservoir, Leatherwood Creek, and Little Beaver Creek.

Consumer Confidence Water Quality Reports

Lead Report (2017)

A

WaterZen Rating

Lead levels in the drinking water of some cities across the United States are too high, potentially creating public-health issues for the people living in those areas.

What about Martinsville Water? How much lead is in your drinking water? And how do those levels compare to other cities in the state? We examined data from hundreds of cities across the nation to understand and grade your water quality.

As you can see, Martinsville Water received the best-possible grade because the amounts of contaminants found in the water supply were better than the Public Health Goal and most other water providers we've analyzed.
