The City of Meriden Water Division, under the City Services - Public Utilities Department, provides water for about 58,441 residents living in the area of Meriden, Connecticut. Established in 1806, the City of Meriden Water Division is currently obtaining its supply from a combination of sources: four reservoirs on the Meriden-Berlin town line, the Broad Brook Reservoir on the Meriden-Cheshire town line, the Bradley-Hubbard Reservoir in the northeast corner of Meriden, and six groundwater wells located throughout the City. The City also purchases water from the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority whenever the demand arises.
