Cabot has multiple water providers: Cabot Waterworks and Mid-Arkansas Utilities. This page provides information about Mid-Arkansas Utilities.

Mid-Arkansas Utilities Public Water Authority, a public water supply service authority, supplies water to about 11,148 residents living in Cabot, the largest city in Lonoke County, Arkansas. Founded in 1977, Mid-Arkansas Utilities Public Water Authority System currently purchases its supply from multiple sources. First, surface water is supplied by Central Arkansas Water (CAW), which receives water from two sources: Lake Winona and Lake Maumelle. Both Lake Winona and Lake Maumelle supply the regulating Jacksonville Reservoir located in Little Rock. As a second source, Jacksonville Waterworks pumped from groundwater sources, primarily 12 wells that pumped from the Quaternary System Aquifer and surface water purchased from Central Arkansas Water. Additionally, they purchased water from Lanoke-White County Water obtained from Greer's Ferry Lake.
