The Nassau-Amelia Utilities provides water service to about 9,540 residents living in the Fernandina Beach area in Nassau County. The Nassau-Amelia Utilities collects water from three groundwater wells drawing from the Floridan Aquifer. The water is aerated, treated with polyphosphate for corrosion control, and disinfected with chlorine before it is supplied to the customers.
