The New Ulm Public Utilities, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works, provides water for about 13,342 residents living in New Ulm, a city in Brown County, Minnesota. Established in 1854, the New Ulm Public Utilities System currently obtains its supply of groundwater supply, 13 wells ranging from 62 to 247 feet deep that draw water from the following aquifers namely: Mt. Simon, Cretaceous, Undifferentiated, and Quaternary Buried Artesian.
