Established in 1854, the New Ulm Public Utilities System currently obtains its supply of groundwater supply, 13 wells ranging from 62 to 247 feet deep that draw water from the following aquifers namely: Mt. Simon, Cretaceous, Undifferentiated, and Quaternary Buried Artesian.
