The City of Northville Water supplies water to about 6,119 residents living in the Northville area of Wayne County, Michigan. Northville Water Department purchases water from the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA).  The water comes from the Detroit River, which flows through Lake St. Clair, the Clinton River, the Detroit River, the Rouge River, and the Ecorse River in the United States, and parts of the Thames River, Little River, Turkey Creek, and Sydenham basins in Canada. It is disinfected to control bacteria and has a fluoride additive to promote healthy teeth.
