The Pluris Water - South Gate, a subsidiary of Pluris Holdings, LLC, a holding company through its subsidiaries provides water and wastewater utility and wholesale water delivery to about 15,897 residents living in Sarasota, a city in Sarasota County on the southwestern coast of Florida. Established in 2006, the Pluris Water - South Gate System purchases water from Sarasota County Special Utility District which currently obtains its supply obtained from three surface water sources: 4% University Parkway & Jacaranda Water Treatment Facility, Wellfield with seven wells, 20% purchased from Manatee County blend source from Manatee River & wells, and finally 76% purchased from Peace River/Manasota Regional Water Supply Authority pumped from Peace River and wells. All wells are drilled into the Floridan Aquifer underneath the county area
