City of St. Louis Water, a public community water system under the City Department of Public Works, provides water to about 6,976 residents living in St. Louis, in Gratiot County, Michigan. Founded in 1972, the City of St. Louis Water System currently obtains water mainly from groundwater sources, primarily wells that drill into the aquifer underneath the area. A backup water source is a surface water supply from Pine River.
