The Village of Woodridge Water, a public community water system under the /City/ Department of Public Works, provides water for about 29,605 residents living in the area of Woodridge, Illinois. Established in 1959, the Village of Woodridge Water System is currently obtaining its supply from a surface water source, Lake Michigan, which is purchased via the City of Chicago and its two water treatment plants. The Jardine Water Purification Plant serves the northern areas of the City and suburbs, while the South Water Purification Plant serves the southern areas of the City and suburbs.
