Waterford Township has multiple water providers: Oakland County Water - Oxford Township and Walled Lake Water. This page provides information about Walled Lake Water.

The City of Walled Lake Water supplies water to about 5,794 residents in the Walled Lake area of Oakland County and a small portion of Wolverine Lake Village and Commerce Township, Michigan. Walled Lake Water Department purchases water from the Great Lakes Water Authority, and the surface water is delivered through the Lake Huron Water Treatment Plant in Port Huron, which draws from the Lower Lake Huron watershed. Water treatment involves a series of processes, including physical screening, filtration, corrosion control, chlorination, and fluoridation. The potable water is distributed to the customers' homes through Oakland County Water Resources Commission, a supply agent of Walled Lake Water.
