The Washington Water Authority, a public community water system under the Local Government, provides water for about 18,212 living in Farmington, a city in Washington County, Arkansas. Established in 1975, the Washington Water Authority System currently purchases its surface water supply from two sources: Benton Washington Regional Public Water Authority (BWRPWA) obtained from Beaver Lake, and the City of West Fork, purchased from the City of Fayetteville which uses treated surface water from Beaver Water District.
