Mansfield has multiple water providers: CT Water and Windham Water Works. This page provides information about Windham Water Works.

Windham Water Works provides water for about 21,214 residents living in the Windham County area.  The current facility was built in 1936 and upgraded most recently in 1997.  Windham draws surface water from Willimantic Reservoir. The Fenton, Mount Hope and Natchaug rivers are the largest contributors to the reservoir.

Under the authority of the Safe Drinking Water Act, the EPA requires Windham Water Works to assess local water quality each year and distribute a Consumer Confidence Water Quality Report.
