The City of Valdosta Water, under the City Department of Utilities - Water & Sewerage Division, provides water for about 51,769 residents living in the area of Valdosta, Georgia. Established in 1860, the City of Valdosta Water & Sewerage Department is currently obtaining its supply from a ground water source, seven wells that pump water from the Upper Floridan Aquifer, a karst aquifer beneath the area of Valdosta and Lowndes County.
