The City of Cochran Water supplies water to about 8,114 residents living in the Cochran area of Bleckley County, Georgia. The City of Cochran Water Department collects water from four deep municipal wells drawing groundwater from the Upper Floridian Aquifer. Well #2 is on Ash Street and 500 feet deep, Well #3 is on West Dykes Street and 375 feet deep, Well #4 is on Vernon Road and 650 feet deep, and Well #5 is on Ann Street and approximately 250 feet deep. The water is treated by the State of Georgia licensed Class III Water Operator, and treatment processes include chlorination and fluoridation. The City distributes water through 62 miles of water lines.
