The Chattooga County Water District provides water service to about 7,800 residents in the city of Trion, Georgia. The Water District receives abundant water supply from seven municipal groundwater wells, approximately 350 feet deep, that pump from the Paleozoic Limestone Aquifer and store it in five reservoirs. The Chattooga County Water Department also buys additional water from Fort Payne Water.
