The City of Walker Water, a public community water system under the City Public Services – Water Department, provides water for about 13,530 residents living in the area of Walker, Louisiana. Established in 1909, the City of Walker Water System is currently obtaining its supply from groundwater sources: four wells, namely: Tower, Pendarvis, Corbin, and O'Donavan Boulevard wells drawing from the Chicot, Evangeline, and Jasper equivalent aquifer systems underneath Livingston Parish.

Lead Report (2020)

A

WaterZen Rating

Lead levels in the drinking water of some cities across the United States are too high, potentially creating public-health issues for the people living in those areas.

What about Walker Water? How much lead is in your drinking water? And how do those levels compare to other cities in the state? We examined data from hundreds of cities across the nation to understand and grade your water quality.

As you can see, Walker Water received the best-possible grade because the amounts of contaminants found in the water supply were better than the Public Health Goal and most other water providers we've analyzed.
