The Calcasieu Waterworks District 9 Ward 4 Carlyss, a regional water supply services district, provides water for about 14,277 residents living in the area of Sulphur, Louisiana. Established in 1974, the Calcasieu Parish Water Works District 9 Carlyss System is currently obtaining its supply from groundwater sources, three wells namely: North, Central, and South wells drawing from the Chicot Aquifer.
