The Blue Ridge Rural Water Corporation provides water for about 29,634 residents living in the Greer area, South Carolina. Established in 1971, the Blue Ridge Rural Water Corporation draws its water from two different sites. The primary sources of water are Lakes Robinson and Cunningham. Lake Cunningham is the intake for the water. Lake Robinson is the future supply of water in the area encompassing the service areas of Greer Commission of Public Works (CPW) and Blue Ridge Rural Water Company. The secondary source is the Poinsett Reservoir, owned and managed by the Greenville Water System.
