The Carroll County Water Authority (CCWA), a regional water utility agency under the County Department of Public Works, provides water for about 50,000 residents living in the area of Carrollton, Georgia. Established in 1967, the Carroll County Water Authority System is currently obtaining its supply from a blend of water sources, CCWA’s Snake Creek Reservoir or an underground aquifer. Additional supply sources may include: the Abilene, Lake Paradise and Bethesda wells whenever the demand arises.
