The City of Chatsworth, under the City’s Water Works Commission, provides water for about 28,262 residents living in the City of Chatsworth, the City of Eton, and to the majority of Murray County, Georgia. Established in 1832, the City of Chatsworth collects supply from a surface water source, from two springs at Eton (Eton Spring and Oneal Spring), Carters Lake, and Nix Spring. Eton and Oneal Springs, located in the Knox Aquifer.
