The City of Saginaw Water, under the City Department of Water and Wastewater Treatment Services, provides water for about 51,508 residents living in the area of Saginaw, Michigan. Established in 1857, the City of Saginaw Water is currently obtaining its supply via purchase from the Saginaw-Midland Municipal Water Supply Corporation (jointly owned by the Cities of Saginaw and Midland), which uses a surface water source, the Lake Huron.
