The City of Sylvania Water Division, under the City Utilities Department, provides water for about 21,618 residents living in the Sylvania area, Ohio. Established in 1833, the City of Sylvania Water Division collects its supply as purchased from the City of Toledo Department of Public Utilities, which uses a surface water source, the Lake Eerie. The City of Sylvania also has an Emergency connection with Lucas County.
