The Collier County Water provides water for about 150,960 residents living in the Naples City area. Established in 1923, the Collier County Water System pumps groundwater from three well fields:  (1) The North Hawthorn Well field with 24 wells for the North County Regional Water Treatment Plant; (2) The South Hawthorn Well field with 42 wells for the South County Regional Water Treatment Plant; and (3) The Golden Gate Tamiami Well field with 36 wells for both treatment plants.
