The Hilton Head Public Service District (Hilton Head PSD) provides water for about 24,087 residents living in the Hilton Head Island area, South Carolina. Established in 1969, the Hilton Head Public Service District obtains its supply from a combination of sources: groundwater from three raw water wells drilled into the Middle Floridan Aquifer, and purchase water from the Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority (BJWSA) drawing from the Upper Floridan Aquifer and Aquifer Storage & Recovery (ASR) wells.
