The Jackson County Water & Sewer Authority (JCWSA), a public community water and sewer system, provides water for about 19,191 residents living in the area of Jefferson City, Georgia. Established in 1986, the Jackson County Water & Sewer Authority System is currently obtaining its supply from surface water sources: Bear Creek Reservoir as managed by the Upper Oconee Basin Water Authority, and a small portion from the Grove River Reservoir managed by the City of Commerce.
