The City of Louisville Utilities provides water services to about 9,186 residents living in the Louisville area in Starks County. The City's Water Department obtains water from six groundwater wells located in two well fields. The water is treated in a gravity filtration plant, which removes iron and manganese and produces one million gallons of clean water in a day. Chlorine and fluoride are added to the water for disinfection and dental care.
