The Mount Pleasant Waterworks provides water for about 82,125 residents living in the area of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. Established in 1933, the Mount Pleasant Waterworks currently obtains its supply from a combination of sources: groundwater source from six deep wells that withdraw water from the Charleston Aquifer; and purchased treated surface water via Charleston Water System, which water is sourced from the Bushy Park Reservoir and the Edisto River.
