Pike Water Inc. is a non-profit corporation providing water to about 18,490 residential and commercial customers living in Waverly, a city located 14 miles south of the Chillicothe area of Pike County, Ohio. Established in 1970, Pike Water, Inc. currently obtains supply from a blend of sources of groundwater: 90% is pumped from wells located directly across State Route 104 whose source is from the treatment plant north of Jasper, and the remaining percentage is purchased from Ross County Water drawn from a well field consisting of eight production wells, primarily wells that pump from the “Teays Valley Aquifer,” one of three major underground aquifers in the State of Ohio.
