Plaisance Water System, Inc. is a private nonprofit water utility corporation that provides water to about 6,375 residents living in Plaisance, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana. Founded in 1972, Plaisance Water System, Inc. currently obtains its supply from groundwater sources, primarily four wells that drill into the aquifer underneath the area: Well #1 on the northeast, Wells #4 and #3 on the southeast, and Well #5 on the northwest.
