The Rural Lorain County Water Authority (RLCWA) provides water for about 72,173 residents living in the area of Lagrange, Ohio. Established in 1973, the Rural Lorain County Water Authority currently obtains its supply via purchase from three sources: the Village of New London, which pumps water into the New London Reservoir from Buck Creek, a branch of the Vermilion River; the Avon Lake Regional Water Authority with water from Lake Erie; and the City of Ashland, which pumps groundwater from 12 wells in the Jerome Fork Basin.
