The Scioto Water, Inc. - Sugar Camp System provides water services to about 8,915 residents living in the Franklin Furnace area of Scioto County. Scioto Water, Inc. was founded in 1969 as a private not-for-profit corporation through the efforts of several men and women in the community. The Sugar Camp Public Water System of Scioto Water, Inc. obtains water from six groundwater wells pumping from the Ohio River Valley Alluvial Aquifer System.
