The Town of Haughton Water System collects water from eight groundwater wells - Wells #6 at Sligo Industrial, #8 on Allentown Road (Closest to St.), #4 at Cedar St., #1 at Myrtle Street, #2 at North Elm, #3 at East Mckinley, #5 at Lincoln, and #9 on Allentown Road. The water contains fluoride additives for healthy teeth and is disinfected with chlorine to control microbial growth. The Town distributes water through a system consisting of cast iron, ductile iron, galvanized iron, PVC, and HDPE for the mains and copper, galvanized pipe, PVC, and HDPE for the services.
