The City of Trenton Water, a public community water system under the City Service Department Water Division, provides water to about 13,012 residents living in Trenton, a city in northeastern Butler County, west of Middletown, Ohio. Founded in 1804, the City of Trenton Water System currently obtains its groundwater supply from the Sand and Gravel Aquifer. The Great Miami River Buried Valley Aquifer (GMRBVA), the Trenton Buried Valley Aquifer, and the Great Miami River Alluvial Aquifer are the three aquifers that the Ohio EPA has identified as being present in the City of Trenton (TBVA). The City of Trenton has a backup connection to Southwest Regional Water where potable water can be obtained only in emergencies.
