The City of Wellston Water, a public community water system under the local government, provides water to about 7,000 residents living in Wellston, in Jackson County, Ohio. Founded in 1873, the City of Wellston Water System currently obtains its supply from blended sources: Little Raccoon Creek, a surface water supply, and an additional groundwater source from an abandoned mine. Furthermore, the system has two water treatment plants: the South WTP and the North WTP.
