The City of Woodstock Water is a public community water system under the Water and Sewer Division overseen by the Department of Public Works that provides water to about 10,070 residents living in Woodstock, a city in Cherokee County, Georgia. Founded in 1897, the City of Woodstock Water System currently obtains its supply from a variety of sources: purchased surface water supply from the Chattahoochee River, Etowah River, and Lake Allatoona. Additionally, these are treated separately. The Cobb County Marietta Water Authority treats water from the Chattahoochee River at the Quaries Treatment Division and from Lake Allatoona at the Wyckoff Treatment Division. On the other hand, the Cherokee County Water and Sewage Authority treats water from the Etowah River at the Etowah River Water Treatment Facility. Another is from groundwater sources, primarily five wells that drill into the aquifer underneath the area.
