The Pamlico County Water Department, a public community water system, provides water for about 19,665 residents living in the Bayboro area of Pamlico County, North Carolina. Established in 1980, the Pamlico County Water System obtains its supply from groundwater pumped from the Castle-Hayne aquifer, then treated from five water treatment facilities and distributed county-wide to customers.
