Baton Water Corporation, a nonprofit private community water system, provides water to about 7,112 residents living in Granite Falls, in Caldwell County, North Carolina. Founded in 1967, the Baton Water Corporation System currently purchases its supply from the City of Lenoir, drawn from Lake Rhodhiss, the second reservoir in a chain of lakes created by Duke Energy along the upper Catawba River.
