Aqua America - Bayleaf, a private water and wastewater utility owned by Aqua America, provides water for about 16,500 residents living in Raleigh, known as the "City of Oaks", the capital of the state of North Carolina and the seat of Wake County. Established in 1886, the Aqua America - Bayleaf System currently obtains its supply from two (2) wells that drill into the aquifer underneath the county area.
