The City of Graham Water Department provides water for about 14,308 people living in the Graham and Mebane areas of Alamance County. Established in 1976, the City of Graham Water Department collects water from Graham-Mebane Lake. The water treatment facility has a treatment capacity of 12 million gallons per day and storage for treated water of 6 million gallons. The City of Graham maintains more than 104 miles of water mains and 93 miles of sanitary sewer, and it is responsible for water and wastewater treatment, sewer distribution, and stormwater management.
