The Town of Maiden Water supplies water to about 5,275 residents living in the Maiden area of Catawba County, North Carolina. The Town of Maiden Water Department purchases water from the Cities of Hickory and Newton. Hickory water comes from Lake Hickory, a part of the Catawba River, and the City of Newton draws primarily from the Jacob Fork River with an additional supply from the City Lake. The Town distributes water across 39 miles of water lines and maintains three above-ground tanks for water storage.
