The Town of Surf City Water, located in the White Oak River Basin, supplies water through 2,602 connections to about 5,606 people in the Surf City area of southeastern Pender County in North Carolina. The Water System collects water from two wells, Well #3 & #5, drawing from the Castle Hayne aquifer, and chemically treats it with chloramines, permanganate, phosphate, and fluoride to improve its quality. Surf City Utilities has three elevated water towers of 100,000, 300,000, and 500,000 gallons capacity for water storage.
